When does the retreat start?
Registration starts Friday, February 20 from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. ( you will need to get dinner on your own Friday night).
What time does it end?
Sunday – Concluding at 11:30 a.m.
Why was I invited?:
Your pastor, youth director, campus minister, or some other UM leader sees great potential in you!
Is this just for people who are going to go to seminary and become pastors?:
NO! It’s for all kinds of leaders.
Are there any “hidden costs”?:
Nope. We are covering food, hotel, tickets to Islands of Adventure. You may want some extra spending $, but that’s up to you!
Whose going to be there?:
A limited number of great leaders – young adult leaders, outstanding clergy from around the Florida Conference, seminary representatives, and denominational leaders.
What kind of workshops can I sign up for?:
We are offering 6 “tours”
- spiritual leadership – what makes a Christian leader different?
- discerning the leader’s call – how do I know what God wants me to do?
- discovering your gifts – what are my gifts, experiences, personality, talents, abilities, etc. and how do I use them to lead?
- nurturing your passions – what passions drive the leader?
- spiritual leaders in community – what key relationships does the leader need?
- feeding the leader’s soul – how does the leader lead out of their spiritual resources?
